Just out of curiousity; in what way? It only took me four days to hit twenty in Nightfall.

I personally never liked factions at the start, and ive played all 3. But oddly enough I prefere factions because its actually alot easier to get into and play.

I've took 2 characters through prophercies and 2through factions now. But no new characters in Nightfall.

I took my maxed character through nightfall first and while it is a good game... its also an extremely frustrating game.

The difficulty shoots up at a set point from harsish to sheer frustration. Once you reach the Realm of Torment, you need alot of patience. It is a much harder game then prophercies or factions.

The first 3/4 of the game are fine, and enjoyable. Its the last 1/4 that can do your head in. Not from difficulty, but from sheer bad design and bad creature design. Its basically a realm where they crammed as many creatures and mobs into one place and made them all mob together. Its like walking through a mine-field of creatures.

You agro one, and the entire area goes for you. No real breathing space.

I tried making a fresh character in nightfall and I just couldnt be bothered after about 5 minutes. It doesnt really have any apeal. Maybe I will later on.

But if you want a more challenging game, then go with Nightfall. If you want a more pick-up-and-play then go with factions. Factions being the easiest of all 3 games.

Both games took me about a month to complete, so their not hard.

But if you havent played prophercies, you have to. Its the Daddy of all 3 and the best.

That took me alot longer to complete.

But as I said.... I hated factions at first, and ive found myself going back to play it over and over again. Its just alot more get-in-there and play.

I have to agree it only took me a month to complete Nightfall. Its not that bad for levelling. But I was already lvl20. But I think if you jumped right into NF without playing the other 2, then I can understand why it seems a very grinding game.

Its kinda of a happy medium (that isnt quite happy and a bit disgruntled) between prophercies and factions.

Nightfall for the Heroes.

But I really really like factions scenery more than Nightfall - nightfall looks... uniform...

Factions

+ Best armour styles in the game
+ Varied areas: Echovald Forest and Jade Sea are cool
+ Some really vital skills I don't think I could live without!
+ Alliance Battles

- Kaineng City is dull, unattractive and difficult to navigate; it's a relief to escape
- Plot is somewhat dumb at times
- A few too many missions where you require human healers to protect NPC's
- Very linear storyline: areas must be unlocked in a specific order
- Master level on missions is achieved by beating time limits

Nightfall

+ Access to heroes
+ Better plot, some amusing cut scenes
+ Less linearity, more freedom to roam around
+ More challenging late-game
+ More varied mission types
+ Free Treasure chests!!

- Skills aren't so great (with a few exceptions)
- Scenery is very, very samey
- A lot of 'fed-ex' quests early on
- People will be doing everything with their heroes....don't expect invites

I prefer Nightfall. Though I do only PvE. In Factions, it starts off quite good (I really enjoyed Shing Jea Island, despite the voice actors), but once I hit Kaineng City, it was really hard to keep pushing through. I didn't mind the grind to get Sunspear points in Nightfall. Kaineng City is the worst grind I have ever experienced.

Also, with Nightfall you get heroes, which means you don't feel the need to PUG till later in the game when everyone has developed at least some skills in the game. And of course there's the storyline. Main reason I play GW is because I love the storyline. Factions just didn't hold my interest with its dull storyline. Nightfall's is almost as good as Prophecies.

So yeah, if you prefer PvE, I'd go with Nightfall. If you prefer PvP, probably Factions is the better bet (judging by how often my guild does AB, there must be something good about it, right?)

Regardless of the pros and cons of each, if you're absolutely sure you're going to buy both at some point, it makes sense to do Nightfall first so you have heroes to use in both games.

The levelling is nowhere near as slow as that of prophecies! What is the point of leveling fast might I ask? Why do you have to be level 20? It's not like you can't do anything until you reach level 20. If you want to reach level 20 so fast make a PvP character! It isn't a race to reach the level cap, the point of the game is to finish the storyline.

Also, if you find the storyline long, why play it at all? I honestly don't get why people complain about it taking so long to level and so long to finish the campaign when there's no reason to. Then once they do finish it they complain about the game being boring (though I'm not saying this is the case with you).
